Solution Deployment and Activation
Here are the steps to deploy the new VoIP 2.0 Phone Service with Integrated Virtual Receptionist:
- Port existing phone numbers to Excendia’s VoIP Center.
- Insure availability of sufficient Internet bandwidth to support the expected simultaneous calls (voice and faxes).
- Order and install the IP Phones for the extensions and the VoIP Gateways for faxes. An adequate router and switch must be available preferably with a UPS
- Speech Attendant and VoIP Phone Service configuration, testing and adjustments
- Training for users and administrators.
How Does it Work?
- All incoming calls are routed to the Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) for call processing and forwarding by the Excendia services (Speech Attendant, Smart Number, Smart Fax and Virtual Assistant).
- All incoming faxes are received at the ITSP by the Excendia Smart Fax service and sent as e-mails to the appropriate agent.
- Calls forwarded to office extensions come on the office Internet link from the ITSP.
- Calls forwarded to mobile or home phones go through the traditional telephone network (PSTN)
- Calls made from office extensions use the office Internet link before getting routed to the dialed destination number which can be another extension or a public phone number (PSTN).
- The Excendia Web Portal and subscriber accounts are hosted and managed at the Excendia data center
- Agents can access their voice messages and faxes on the Web Portal, by e-mails, and by phone.
- Agents can control their call forwarding, view their call logs and change their account settings on the Web Portal and by phone using speech or touchtone commands.

No Liability for Consequential Damages: In no event shall Excendia be liable to the customer for any loss of profits direct or indirect, special, incidental, consequential or other similar damages whether or not such damages were foreseen or unforeseen. The software is provided by Excendia as is and without any implied warranties of merchantability and/or fitness for a particular purpose.
Software Maintenance
Excendia is responsible for the maintenance, upgrades and problem fixing of the software and hardware used to provide the hosted telephony and virtual assistant services. Problem fixes and enhancements to the software will be rolled-out from time to time to keep operations functioning efficiently. All system maintenance activities will be performed on days and at hours chosen for their minimal impact on customer business activities.
