In May 2001, Excendia was spun-off from Elix (now
BCE Elix), a world specialist in interactive business solutions, providing its
products and expertise to build contact centers and enhanced telecommunications
services for large organizations and telcos.
The level of knowledge and expertise within Excendia is significant, and in
fact, Excendia's roots reach back to 1998 as a division in a company called
MediaSoft Telecom, which later became part of Elix.
Excendia develops and sells intelligent business mobility solutions for
enterprises and telecom service providers. The product suite, called Excendia
Virtual Assistant, is sold as a set of interoperable applications designed
specifically to increase the productivity of mobile executives and salespeople.
The product integrates unified communications, Speech Recognition,
Text-to-Speech, Intelligent Call Routing, IP Telephony and other advanced
technologies previously available only to very large corporations
