Excendia can be installed as a network-based subscription service or as an internal enterprise solution. In both configurations, Excendia provides the same virtual assistant and mobility services. Network operators and service providers can offer Outlook-by-Phone and Smart Phone Number as value-added services to their customers. Users can go to the provider’s Web site to subscribe and manage their account. Outlook-by-Phone accesses e-mail accounts over the Internet using HTTP, IMAP and POP3 protocols. Subscribers can be individuals or companies considered as “tenants”. In multi-tenant situations, Excendia keeps each tenant’s environment autonomous and independent from others. This means separate list of employees, departments and company services. As an enterprise solution, Excendia integrates with existing PBXs and corporate messaging systems.
